Yes or No?

Mary and Matthew were eager to do an outdoor activity after a wet couple of days held them indoors.

On the way to church Mary asks…

Mary: can we go to the park after church?

Mom responds trying to avoid a promise at this point.

Miriam: We’ll see… I’m not going to say Yes or No.

Mary genuinely puzzled by the lack of remaining responses, pauses and then asks under her breath

Mary: Then what are you going to say?
